J is a transdisciplinary designer creating accessible user experiences through human-centered and multisensory design approaches. My practice spans UX research, web design, prototyping, and fabrication of assistive technology.

Growing up needing education accommodations, I experienced firsthand how assistive technologies can transform an education path. Tools such as digital typewriters, handheld spell check devices, smart pens/notebooks, and text-to-speech programs, turned classrooms from overwhelming to empowering, allowing me to learn alongside my peers. I recognize the privilege I had in accessing these tools, which ignited my dedication to designing technologies that empower others and ensuring they are accessible so all people can benefit from them.

My journey into accessible design began with Web Development and UX Design certificates, which emphasized accessibility, bias and cultural considerations, and ethical human-centered approaches to interactive technology. Determined to disrupt the exclusivity of the tech industry, I pursued a Master of Science in Integrated Design and Media at NYU to deepen my practice and create change for disadvantaged communities.

From developing an automated compression vest for sensory regulation to creating visual description guidelines for museums, I craft solutions addressing a wide range of accessibility challenges. My skills include UX/UI design, front-end web development, product design, market and user research, multimedia design, and accessibility testing.

Moving forward, I aim to create experiences that center dignity, agency, and joy for all users.

lets build together!
